In all Telestial is a brilliant EP. Skeen does not disappoint and this demonstrates his evolved sound that is faster, harder and leaves one a lasting effect edging toward a certain psychosis. If it is an indicator of things coming down the pipeline, then the future looks devastatingly bright for his future releases. Waste no time. Pick up Telestial and celebrate being in the lowest heaven among fellow degenerates. (NIXBEAT)

I can only describe it as a "Midnight Revival" that spans the bridge from the secular Saturday Night with its Devil's Music to the holy Sunday morning. It even comes with a hymn booklet with the lyrics of Jacob's testimony. For those unfamiliar, Skeen is a Salt Lake City one man band act. He was on his way to tour Italy before the Covid came down and destroyed his plans. Those who have seen him perform are probably familiar with his raw and loud sound. The album captures that but only more so. Far from a clean digital sound, the analogue recording has more in common with old punk records than most anything coming out today. If Jacob seeks to preach, it isn't in any holy temple. Like a true evangelical, he is bringing the good word directly to a sin filled underground of night clubs and juke joints. (John Whipple)

The first song on side B is by Jacob T. Skeen , it's called " Storehouse of souls " and is shot straight from the land of the Mormons and the great salt lake, Salt Lake City. Even if he looks like a preacher too, in a dark suit, bow tie and glasses a la JFK, from his guitar and drums comes a demonic prayer, which will convert even the most fervent observers of the word of god, into rock'n'roll worshipers. . Our reverend is passionate about both blues and garage but also gospel. It is not difficult to find him accompanying a gospel ceremony with his guitar in the New Zion Baptist Church in Ogden,a city in the United States of America, the capital of Weber County in the State of Utah. A true ferryman of rock'n'roll who, thanks to his dark and hypnotic guitar, transports the spirits from the "warehouse of souls" of paradise towards a raw, minimal and demonic reality of his riffs.
